Zybooks 5.18.1 unit test troubles asked 6 months ago modified 6 months ago viewed 95 times There is a lot of stuff out there and i was going to recommend a few but then after i saw the user tonycahill who is a professor who runs the engr 102 class at a&m was willing to give you. Zybooks makes me irrationally angry

I understand they try to make it “hands on” so you get to read things, then submit things, but i find zybooks to be so incredibly annoying

I’d much rather be in an ide or, better yet, in a terminal text editor, programming and then running my compile commands and getting into my code that way than doing zybooks exercises Coding + zybooks is trash. What are your opinions on zybooks So i'm curious what everyone's opinions are for the zybooks based courses

I am in the cs program, and have taken a handful of courses using zybooks I don't think they're that bad I like the format, the challenge activities, and the labs. Is it actually working out for you

Maya Ben David - LVL3

They basically cram bunch of sections to read and a few problems to work through and i’m so behind

I’m wondering if learning a programming language like this is working out for anyone I’ve pretty much accepted a bad grade on the class because i cannot keep up with the class. Zybooks work fine after you've learned the material somewhere else first in my experience Even if its just a bunch of videos for background info and then the book.

Zybooks is a bit weird because depending on the particular resource, there’s quite a bit cutting and pasting as well as watering down of other existing textbooks I sort of get the point of what they’re aiming for A custom knowledge resource that’s tailored to the course. Plus, they used zybooks so i was able to be familiar with that ui before taking the class in the fall which helped immensely as a&m uses zybooks as well
